My stay at Sugar Hotel was impressive overall. The room was spacious and comfortable, though I did notice the carpet could use some cleaning. The service was a highlight, with friendly staff who always greeted me with smiles. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the V&A Waterfront, making it convenient to explore nearby attractions. However, the breakfast options could use more variety, particularly for vegan choices.

Rooms
7.0
The room was very large and comfortable, but the carpet was quite tired and dirty, which detracted from the overall experience.
Service
10.0
The staff was professional and friendly, with George assisting us as our concierge and making our stay nice.
Location
9.0
Located conveniently near the main attractions, including the V&A Waterfront, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
8.0
The restaurant served excellent meals, especially breakfast, but I think offering more vegan/vegetarian options would enhance the dining experience.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel had solid housekeeping services and other basic amenities, it lacked some typical facilities you might expect at a five-star hotel.

I had a mixed experience at Sugar Hotel. On one hand, the location was perfect, just a short walk from the waterfront and great restaurants. The comfortable bed and lovely breakfast were definite highlights. However, my room was quite small, noisy from traffic, and I faced issues with cleanliness and maintenance. While the staff were friendly, I expected better given the price I paid.

Rooms
5.0
My room was small but clean, although I did encounter some issues with dirty sheets and a faulty TV. The space felt cramped, and once I showered, the entire room steamed up.
Service
7.0
The staff, especially Oncemore, were welcoming and friendly, making my stay enjoyable despite some concerns. They were attentive, but service at breakfast was a bit slow.
Location

The location is fantastic! Just a 10-minute walk to the marina and nearby restaurants, which I loved. It was very convenient for exploring Cape Town.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was cooked to order and included in my stay, which was great. The Eggs Benedict were fabulous, though I felt the menu could use more variety.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has limited facilities, but they do offer laundry and limited parking. I was disappointed that there was no bar for drinks after hours.

I had a pretty good time at Sugar Hotel, enjoying the comfy and well-appointed deluxe room with its own deck and plunge pool. The location is decent, allowing for some nice walks, though it's a bit far from the Waterfront. The staff were friendly and helpful but the restaurant experience was mixed; breakfast was fantastic, but dinner was hit or miss.

Rooms
8.0
The room was comfy and well-equipped with essential amenities, though I was a bit concerned about privacy due to surrounding apartments.
Service

The staff were great—really friendly and efficient, especially George, who made me feel welcome.
Location

Nice, safe area, but a bit of a walk to the Waterfront—around 20 minutes, and I preferred taking a taxi back in the evening.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was amazing with delicious options. Dinner was less impressive, as I had one great meal and one poor one.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered solid facilities, but I did run into issues with ice quality and concerns about security during my stay.

My stay at Sugar Hotel was quite enjoyable. The luxurious room had great amenities and was very comfortable. I loved that I could easily walk to the Waterfront and explore local restaurants. However, I did encounter some issues with parking and service during my stay, which impacted the overall experience.

Rooms

The room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a small patio and plunge pool that offered amazing views of Table Mountain. It felt modern and luxurious, though I did encounter some problems with operating the air conditioning.
Service

The staff were friendly and attentive, but the service could have been more reliable, especially at breakfast when I was told there's nothing left just before closing time.

Breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was satisfying, offering a limited menu with quality options. I wish the restaurant had wider hours for lunch and dinner, as it didn't match what was advertised.
